Jeanne: LIQUOR BANK is a marvelous effort --- hard-hitting and insightful. Reaching his one year of sobriety, Eddie (Antwone Barnes) misses the celebration --- getting drunk instead. His sponsor, Baker (Sean Alexander James), shows up the next day to check in on him, imploring Eddie to re-evaluate his choice.

The writing is crisp and believable, which isn’t always attainable, particularly in a short film. And the acting is superb, especially James.

Writer/director Marcellus Cox has provided an informed glimpse into the life of an ex-Marine (LIQUOR BANK is based on a true story) burdened with the curse of alcoholism. It’s an extraordinary short film. Cox is an

accomplished filmmaker --- looking forward to his next endeavor.

David: LIQUOR BANK is a compelling 15-minute film --- unlike anything you may have seen. An alcoholic named Eddie (Antwone Barnes) misses his one-year sobriety anniversary party with his AA group. His sponsor, Baker (Sean Alexander James), visits Eddie the next day at his small apartment to discover him drinking from a liquor bottle.

What ensues is a well-written, well-acted scenario about the choices we make in life. The movie also recognizes the support we receive from others --- if we decide to accept it.

LIQUOR BANK is written and directed by Marcellus Cox. It deserves to be seen by serious moviegoers, especially

anyone struggling with alcohol addiction and/or their sponsors.
