Movie: AVENGERS: INFINITY WAR Rating: PG-13, intense sequences of sci-fi violence and action throughout, language and some crude references
Release Date: April 27, 2018
Jeanne: Hail, hail --- the gang's all here! If you are a real fan of these Marvel Cinematic Universe characters, I can't imagine not loving this film. The crowd at our screening whooped and hollered in appreciation. "Avengers: Infinity War", directed by brothers Anthony and Joe Russo, is totally thrilling, hilarious and vastly entertaining!
Though he's made a few brief appearances already in "The Avengers", "Guardians of the Galaxy" and "Avengers: Age of Ultron",
"Avengers: Infinity War" focuses on the all-powerful Thanos (Josh Brolin) and his quest for the six Infinity Stones so he can rule the universe. His left hand sports the Infinity Gauntlet which showcases a spot for each stone. All of the Avengers, including a few "new" members, are on a mission to keep Thanos from obtaining all six.
"Avengers: Infinity War" boasts an incredible cast, unbelievable special and visual effects, fantastic production and costume designs, spectacular cinematography all anchored by a well-crafted screenplay by Christopher Markus and Stephen McFeely. The two hours and 29 minutes fly by. And, of course, make sure you stay in the theater through the closing credits. "Avengers: Infinity War" does not disappoint!

David: This is the movie die-hard Marvel fans have been awaiting --- and they will be thoroughly delighted. But even marginal Marvel followers, like me, will find it quite entertaining.
In case you've been living under a rock, "Avengers: Infinity War" brings together, for the first time, the super heroes who make up the Avengers with those of the Guardians of the Galaxy. In order to give each character sufficient screen time to display their individual talents in the common goal of how to stop Thanos, the movie runs nearly two and a half hours. Thanos (Josh Brolin), by the way, is the latest threat to the universe, and he is a brute. Brolin's character may go down as one of the vilest villains in cinema history.
"Avengers: Infinity War" showcases the usual special effects --- like people disintegrating --- and some we haven't seen before. But it is infused with perhaps more humor than in any previous Marvel film. In fact, there are so many funny lines, viewers will be hard-pressed to hear or remember them all.
The reported budget of about $300 million should, in all likelihood, look like a bargain when the final returns are tallied. Be advised: stay for the closing credits which run at least a full 10 minutes --- with what must be over a thousand credited crew.
